As I alluded to in a previous post I have bought a new board. You have seen the underside of it on my last post, but the rest of it looks like this…
My Burton boxer boots have finally been consigned to landfill. I have ridden them for probably 80+ days and they smelt like they had been used as a testing ground for new chemical weapons. So they are gone and instead I have this nice new pair of DC boots.
There are a few downsides to new boots. For simplicity I shall list them as I see them:
1 – New boots cost money. Quite a bit.
2 – Riding with new boots is weird as it totally affects how the board and binding feel and also the response you get from your board when applying pressure to it
3 – (saving the best to last) During the first few days of operation new boots are actually closer to medieval instruments of torture so the whole riding experience is actually a test of your ability to endure the pain in your feet, rather than a test of your skill on a board!
I have survived the above three problems and now love my new boots.
The Banff album on Picasa has been updated with the photos from my two weeks, so if you like looking at pictures you know where to go.
